M O’Brien Plant Hire to be first to receive New JCB E-Tech Telehandlers.

Supply chain sustainability school partner M O’Brien is fully committed to more environmentally friendly construction sites across the UK. With an already impressive fleet of equipment utilising the latest emission standard engines, Hybrid technology and electric powered machinery. That commitment is now furthered with the order of JCB’s brand new fully electric compact telehandler the 525-60E.

The new 525-60E compact telehandler is part of JCB’s 100% electric E-TECH range, with zero emissions, less noise and zero compromise on performance. Based on same 6 meter, 2.5 tonne lift DNA as the highly popular 525-60 diesel powered excavator, customers can expect the same performance as the conventional machine thanks to the powerful lithium-ion technology 24kWh battery the machine is powered for a full days work.

Michael O’Brien quotes “JCB for me has always been about firsts, my first machine was a JCB, my first fully electric excavator was JCB, and now we are happy to be the first customer to take delivery of the new E-tech fully electric telehandler. Over the years it has become very apparent that the construction industry has a part to play in reducing the carbon emissions it produces. As a leading supplier of plant and equipment, it must be us that initiates this change and adopt more sustainable machinery for our fleet as well as carry out our “economic operating” training for our operators.

“Watling JCB are proud to announce we will be delivering 2 of the new 525-60E electric telehandler units to the M O’Brien Group which follows on from their recent purchase of 2 19C E-Tech  machines, where again they received some of the very first machines produced by JCB. This new investment shows the forward thinking approach of the M O’Brien Group as they continue to be  focussed on new and environmentally friendly innovations“ Mark Luff, Watling JCB Sales manager.
