Leading Plant hire firm M O’Brien Plant Hire has now incorporated into its fleet a number of Engcon Tiltrotator’s to accompany both 14 and tonne excavators. The particular emphasis has been placed on the more versatile 14 tonne wheeled excavators which are ideally suited to smart motorway upgrade projects.

The innovative tool allows free range of motion at the bucket of the excavator which assists in the shaping of batters and trenches that would traditionally be in an area too tight to be achieved by a conventional excavator, therefore a smaller machine being used in is place. Giving the ability to use a larger machine for these tasks improves efficiency dramatically and allows a much more accurate shaping of earthwork activities.
