M O’Brien group leads the way with new Dual View Dumper order

M O’Brien group is pleased to announce that its plant division Willow hire is among the first companies to have secured its order of new Neuson Dual View dumper’s. A revolutionary new design to reduce blind spots and prevent accidents.

The new innovation from Wacker Neuson features a drivers seat and console that can swivel within the cab to allow the dumper to be driven forwards in both directions. Meaning that once the

dumper is loaded, the driver can slew their seat and face the new direction of travel reducing the need to reverse and creating better all round visibility. The machines we have on order will also be fitted with a rear view camera to further ensure that we are using the best practice available. The new machine acheives 90% more visibility than the ISO 5006:2017 compliance requires.

Its not just safety that gets a boost however, as cycle times are dramatically reduced due to removing the need to reverse and the reduction in turning the machine, increasing both productivity and efficiency. The cab will also be a more pleasant addition and should help encourage more dumper drivers into the industry knowing that they will not be sat on a dumper braving the elements, but in the safety and comfort of a cab in line with that of excavator and ADT operators.

Dan O’Brien – Group Director and Willow Hire MD – “We think this investment will benefit our customers and help promote a safer way of moving material on site, having spoken to dumper and machine manufactures for the past few years about the need to eliminate dumper fatalities, i am very happy that Wacker Neuson have taken the initiative and developed this piece of plant, its exactly what the industry needs. We are committed to providing our customers with the best and newest equipment available and this is just another example of that. We have opted for the swivel variant in both the 6 tonne and 9 tonne models to further reduce the need to reverse or turn on site. Our first machines are due to enter the hire fleet in November, and we invite customers to make arrangements to be some of the first sites in the country to hire this new machine. Neuson and Cautrac have been very good to deal with, and very accommodating to the high specification we wanted to order, including hi-vis steps, cameras, VCAS etc.”
